Shanxi Provincial Investment Promotion Centre is an unprofitable official investment promotion organization established in 2005 with the approval of Shanxi Provincial People's Government. It is an important window and an authoritative unit for bringing in foreign investment to Shanxi province.

　　Main functions :

　　Ⅰ .To carry out the laws, regulations and policies of Chinese government relating to foreign investment; to publicize and introduce the industrial policies, investment environment and economic information of Shanxi province and China.

　　Ⅱ .To organize fairs on foreign investment and trade of Shanxi province; to carry out project investigation at home and abroad; to publicize foreign investment and joint projects and hold forums on using foreign investment.

　　Ⅲ .To be in charge of collecting, filing, displaying and publicizing project materials; establishing the databases of projects, foreign investors and international investment organizations.

　　Ⅳ .To set up a platform of exchange and cooperation between Shanxi, foreign investors and international investment organizations; to pursue foreign investment and cooperation for the enterprises of Shanxi province; to help foreign investors and other partners select appropriate investment direction and local partners in Shanxi; to provide investigation, recommend suitable places and ways of investment and design the best plans on investment and fund-raising.

　　Ⅴ .To be responsible for contacting the Investment Promotion Bureau of Ministry of Commerce in China; to participate in the joint conferences of China's investment promotion organizations; to contact other investment promotion organizations of Shanxi province and guide their work; to be entrusted to take part in the activities of international investment promotion organizations and other relative international non-governmental organizations; to contact and exchange with investment promotion organizations, chambers of commerce and associations abroad.

　　Ⅵ .To be in charge of the establishment and routine management of Shanxi provincial investment promotion network: “Invest in Shanxi”; to link the “Invest in Shanxi” with the “Invest in China” established by Investment Promotion Bureau of Ministry of Commerce and connect the other webs of all the cities and development zones in Shanxi province. We aim to use the network as the information platform to invite foreign investment

　　Ⅶ .To provide package services for Chinese and foreign cooperators on decision-making consultations, market research, investment environment evaluation, compilation of feasibility study reports, declaration and approval of projects and other work of investment promotion at earlier stage, and help investors to solve problems in the process of investment.

　　Ⅷ .To provide subsequent services for foreign owned enterprise on human resource recommendation, annual inspection, changes and liquidation of company and etc.

　　Ⅸ .To conduct personnel training related to international investment promotion at home and abroad.
